Josip Ilicic is another quality addition to the many cheaper Serie A attackers we have in the game. Even though he has potential for an upgrade as a live card, this card as it is now is pretty special. At 6’3 with a high and average+ body type, he’s not built in the same mold as the dainty little meta attackers that this game favors. With that being said he’s got so so much to offer. He combines top shooting stats with the finesse and outside foot shot traits, making him absolutely lethal inside and outside the box with finesse and power strikes, even with a chemstyle that doesn’t boost his shooting. I’m usually a stickler for a H/M or H/L work rates in my CAMs, but his M/M work rates and attacking runs are perfectly fine with 90 base attack positioning. His passing is largely excellent, and while the 82 long passing could be a bit higher, I didn’t have any problems with it in game. The pace is nothing special obviously, and with the high and average+ body type, he can feel a bit slower, but his agility stats are excellent. Additionally, 85 pace is more than enough considering this is a card you should use in the CAM position. The body type combined with his 84 strength and boosted dribbling, agility, and balance on the engine chemstyle made him very sticky with the ball, and with 5 star skill moves, he has the finesse to wriggle out of situations that most players with his size and body type wouldn’t. I would not say he felt heavy, but if you’re dribbling with this card you need to understand that you’re dribbling with a 6’3 player. If you can take that into account and adjust your play style, his RS dribbling combined with the skill moves made him a very mobile creative option. Personally, I don’t have any issues with the stamina although I know it’s low. He’s definitely exhausted at the end of 120 minutes of FUT champions but still playable on low stamina. Currently priced at 39K with a chance at a +1 and maybe more if Atalanta can beat Leverkusen (they’ve got a decent chance), Ilicic offers excellent value for your coins if you’re looking for something a little different at CAM in your Serie A setup.
Well, this had to be the player that finally made me write a review on here. I've used his totw card for months now and he has been by far my favorite card this year. This card is just more of the same, 27 games in div 1 and fut champs has sufficiently proved that this card is probably the most undervalued card on the market. It seems like every game he's scoring a 30 yard belter, or skilling past 4-5 defenders and slotting it home with his cannon of a left foot. I honestly can't compare him to anyone, I haven't used anyone in this game who has been able to do what he does for me. I honestly just hope this makes people pick this card up now, because if you don't you're completely missing out on one of the most underrated cards in the game.
I honestly don't want to put this because if this tactic gets too popular it could get patched, but Ilicics' biggest pro is his ability to pull off el tornado volleys. These volleys are always outside of the box and far more consistent then they should be. If you need proof, I have a 2 minute long highlight reel of only ilicic goals, with most of them being el tornado goals, on my tiktok-ytG4b3y. Almost every volley taken with his left foot flies into the goal, they're simply broken.
His overall shooting with a hunter is truly elite, long shots with his left right and outside of the foot go in more often than not, plus his finishing is lethal. Almost all of his 1 on 1's with the gk end up being blasted into the top of the net so fast you can hardly see it.
He's surprisingly consistent with skill moves, so if you're a skiller I would highly recommend him. He has also got a bit of the "sticky feet" trait which is something I've really only experienced with Neymar and Ronaldinho prior to this.
The price of this card is absolutely absurd, if this card was French he'd easily be 500k. Plus, Atalanta should hopefully continue into the last 8 of the europa league meaning this card could become even more of a beast.
His passing is as good as it needs to be, no complaints here.
Inside the box his 4* weak foot feels like 5*
He's just fun. Simple as that.
The one thing I could say is that he does have random moments of clunkiness but I blame the gameplay for that.
There's a bit of a learning curve to him, but if you figure it out he can boost almost any team in the game.
In my opinion, ilic is very bad. He is Very heavy. BUT IF U CAN USE HEAVY PEOPLE THIS IS THE PLAYER FOR U.
His long shots are insaneeeee but his pace is really bad. I even put a hunter on him and he is still slow. He moves very slowly. If u want to use him use his as cam cuz his long shots are really good and his passing is good. But if ur looking for an insane st go for nominie david. His passing was sooo good so is his defending idk how. But for this price you can get way better. His dribbling was really bad since he is a heavy player
